Wall Street Bought Bitcoin. Alts Missed the Memo.

Wall Street placed the Bitcoin order. The altcoin table is still waiting for appetizers.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $526.7M Monday, their strongest daily intake since Sept. 22, while Ether funds lost $103.3M. That’s a loud vote for BTC over the market’s biggest alt—but price hasn’t confirmed the enthusiasm yet. Both assets remain below their first repair barriers, and neither setup has earned a victory lap.

Solana Crashed 80%—Here’s Why We’re Buying Now

Solana’s price collapsed. Its network didn’t.

While the chart looks ugly, the fundamentals tell a different story: dormant wallets are waking up, app revenue is climbing, stablecoin supply has hit $15B, and institutional ETF inflows remain strong. Lower inflation and the Firedancer upgrade are next.

Stop guessing the bottom. Our free Solana guide lays out the full thesis, key metrics and risks. Enter your email and it’s yours.

TODAY'S MENU

BTC: $81,791 (-0.22%) — Failed reclaim — Recovered $81,500, but $82,000 and the 4H EMA stack remain overhead.

ETH: $2,398 (-0.42%) — Thin participation — Stabilized above $2,375 while the first repair test stays out of reach.

Fear & Greed: 55 (Greed) ← 59 — Cooling appetite — Still greedy, just four points less convinced.

ETF Split: BTC +$526.7M / ETH -$103.3M — Divergent — Institutions picked a favorite for one session.

MARKET MAP

BTC — 4H Failed Reclaim Below $82K

BTC reclaimed $81,500 after the sweep, but losing the old $82,500 support pushed the operating range lower.

BTC is below its tracked 4H EMA20, EMA50, and EMA200 after the latest reclaim attempt faded. The completed 4H candle printed 1.47x average volume, so buyers showed up; they just did not keep the better address.

Daily Tape: -0.22% (O: $81,973 | H: $82,271 | L: $81,206 | C: $81,795)

  • Support: $81,500 — Held ✓ — Swept intraday, then reclaimed by the latest read.

  • Base: $81,000 — Holding — The session low protected the deeper floor.

  • Resistance: $82,000 — Broke ✗ — Traded above it, then fell back below.

  • Psych Level: $82,500 — Not Tested — The active-session high stopped short.

ETH — 4H Compression With a Quiet Crowd

ETH recovered $2,375, but the loss of $2,400 and thin participation keep its map defensive.

ETH remains below its full 4H EMA stack, and its latest completed 4H volume was only 0.42x average. That is stabilization with indoor voices, not a broad risk-appetite chorus.

Daily Tape: -0.42% (O: $2,408 | H: $2,418 | L: $2,373 | C: $2,398)

  • Support: $2,375 — Held ✓ — Swept by $1.67, then recovered.

  • Base: $2,350 — Holding — Deeper defense stayed protected.

  • Resistance: $2,400 — Broke ✗ — Price traded above it but could not hold.

  • Psych Level: $2,450 — Not Tested — Stronger confirmation remains overhead.

CHEF'S CHOICE

The headline number is chunky: US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $526.7M Monday, their strongest daily intake since Sept. 22. Ether funds went the other direction, losing $103.3M. Institutional demand did not order the combo meal.

The fund-level split adds texture. IBIT brought in $665.2M, while FBTC and GBTC posted outflows of $83.6M and $54.9M. Even after that rebound, October's BTC ETF tally remained roughly $88M negative. One big plate can improve the week without proving the buffet is back.

Price still has the final word. BTC's reclaimed support and positive 4H MACD histogram preserve repair potential, but the failed $82,000 hold keeps the immediate structure defensive. ETH has the tougher assignment: weaker ETF demand, a lower EMA position, and participation that barely made the reservation.

The practical read is BTC over ETH on relative demand, bearish near term on structure. If the flow split persists and the charts reclaim their first barriers, the story gets legs. Until then, it is an encouraging receipt attached to an unfinished repair.

COOKING LESSON

Flows show where demand entered; price acceptance shows whether the market can keep it. One strong inflow day is an ingredient, not the whole meal—watch whether structure and participation improve next.

QUICK BITES

  • INSTITUTIONAL — IBIT carried the rebound | BlackRock's fund added $665.2M, while FBTC and GBTC partly offset it. The next useful clue is whether demand broadens beyond one issuer.

  • MACRO — Advance Q3 GDP is listed for Oct. 29 | The 8:30 AM ET release is the next high-impact BEA checkpoint on the supplied schedule and a future rates-and-risk-appetite watch.

  • ALT SIGNAL — Sophon set a Nov. 25 withdrawal deadline | Users need to remove assets before the mainnet shutdown. Operational deadlines are boring right up until they become expensive.

MACRO KITCHEN

Brent is at $109.80, high enough to keep the inflation channel in view: if expensive energy persists, it can complicate disinflation and leave rate-sensitive assets working against a heavier backdrop.

DXY sits at 101.769, while the US10Y sits at 5.136%. Together, these levels keep the macro menu restrictive while crypto tries to turn selective demand into broader repair.

Oil — 1D Inflation Backdrop

Brent near $110 keeps the energy-and-rates transmission channel on watch without changing the crypto map by itself.

THE RECIPE

WHAT'S COOKING

The near-term read is Bearish, with BTC favored over ETH on relative institutional demand. The fund bid is useful; the failed reclaims and weaker ETH participation still own the tactical setup.

KEY INGREDIENT

The missing ingredient is follow-through. Both assets must convert their first resistance tests into support, with ETH finally bringing a crowd.

Bias: Bearish — Demand improved selectively, but both charts remain below their first repair levels.

Probability: Bull 20% / Base 50% / Trap 30%

PREPARATION

  • Market Conviction: Medium — strong flow contrast, unfinished chart repair.

  • Upside Path: Both majors reclaim first resistance with participation.

  • Invalidation: Lose $81,500 BTC or $2,375 ETH.

  • Next Catalyst: Advance Q3 GDP on Oct. 29 at 8:30 AM ET.
