Risk Is Back on the Menu.

Treasury served the market a real breakfast. PMI decides whether BTC gets dessert or indigestion.
Treasury said long-end buybacks will jump from $2B to at least $4B per operation, the dollar hit then pared a three-month low versus the euro, and BTC is now sitting near $76.1K with the macro breakout line right in front of it. Nice plate. Still needs proof.
TODAY'S MENU
BTC: $75,798 (+3.73%) — Big move, unfinished receipt.
ETH: $2,378 (+2.12%) — Better shelf, hotter tape.
Fear & Greed: 72 (Risk-on / hot) — Appetite is back and already getting a little cocky.
Macro Watch: DXY 98.713 — The dollar backed off enough for crypto to breathe.
Flow Signal: BTC ETFs +$1.5B MTD — Big money is still feeding the move.
TODAY'S JOB
Do not confuse a hot candle with a finished breakout. If $76,100 gets accepted, the menu opens up fast.
LEVELS AT A GLANCE
BTC 4H — Breakout Receipt Wants a Signature
BTC Daily Tape: +3.73% (O $73,075 | H $75,892 | L $73,075 | C $75,798)
Support: $72,000 | Resistance: $76,100 | Bias: Bullish while $72K holds
ETH 4H — Reclaimed Shelf, Still Needs $2.4K
ETH Daily Tape: +2.12% (O $2,328 | H $2,383 | L $2,325 | C $2,378)
Support: $2,350 | Resistance: $2,400 | Bias: Bullish but stretched above $2,350
CHEF'S CHOICE
This is a macro breakfast, not a crypto-only food fight. Treasury's buyback move gave the tape oxygen, the dollar softened enough to stop leaning on risk, and BTC used that opening to climb within $302 of the $76,100 macro breakout line.
The less fun part is heat. BTC is up 3.73% in the active session, ETH reclaimed $2,350, SOL reclaimed $88, and the whole table is getting a little too eager.
The continuity callout is the whole point. $70K was yesterday's resistance story; now it is the deeper reclaimed base. $72K was yesterday's psych line; now it is the first real floor. That is a real upgrade in structure, but PMI at 9:45 a.m. ET is still the stress test. If the macro kitchen stays calm, $76,100 can finally get paid. If yields wake up, the right read is still prove the retest, not chase the dessert cart.
COOKING LESSON
Some resistance breaks move faster than expected because of short squeezes.
That happens when traders betting against BTC have to buy back in as price pushes through a key level like $76,100. That forced buying can add extra fuel and make the breakout look explosive. If BTC can hold above, the move has real appetite behind it.
QUICK BITES
INSTITUTIONAL — Flows still have teeth | U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs are +$1.5B month-to-date, and Aug. 19 printed +$517M with IBIT at $285M.
ALT SIGNAL — SOL got its own menu rewrite | SOL is at $91 and up 3.25% in the active session, while its map moved from $85 / $88 to $88 / $95.
MACRO — Oil is still the annoying side dish | Brent at $93.34 keeps inflation nerves in the room, which means crypto can rally and still have to eat with one eye on yields.
THE TAKE
This is the kind of morning that makes people feel smart five minutes before the market humbles them. The setup is better, the plate is bigger, and the story is real. It just needs proof where it counts. If $76,100 gets accepted, the menu opens up fast.
