BTC finally got off the floor, but it still hasn’t earned a seat at the nice table. The whole question today is whether this reclaim pivot can actually hold while options expiry shakes the room.

ETH kept the $1,638 shelf, but $1,734 and $1,800 are still the real repair gates.

ETH still looks a hair cleaner than BTC, which is funny given how ugly that sentence would’ve sounded a few days ago. The shelf held, but the dish still isn’t fully plated until price gets through the next repair band.

Today’s story is simple: BTC is stabilizing, but it’s doing it right on top of a stress line. Research says roughly $2.5B in BTC/ETH options expire today, with downside exposure clustered around $60K-$62K. That puts the market’s attention right where this newsletter already had the danger sign posted.

Macro helped a little — oil cooled, the dollar stayed tame, and ETF outflows slowed — but the chart still wants proof. If BTC can hold this reclaim and keep building, the mood improves. If not, the market may be right back to serving reheated panic.

One of the easiest ways to get baited in crypto is to see price trade above a level and assume the job is done. It isn’t. A real reclaim means the market gets over the level and then stays there when pressure comes back.

That’s why $63,360 matters so much today. BTC is above it now, but the current session already dipped below it once. That turns the level into a test, not a victory lap.

Rule: A reclaim is only useful if the market can come back, tap the shelf, and keep the plate from sliding off.
