Institutions Hit the Exit.

Institutions didn't buy the dip. They sent a $398.6M bill back to the kitchen.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs opened November with $398.6M in Monday outflows, led by a $405.3M exit from IBIT—its largest daily outflow since June 26. BTC sits near $76,805, and both majors remain below every tracked completed-4H trend filter. One bad flow day doesn't kill the floor thesis, but demand needs to return before this rebound earns a tip.

TODAY'S MENU
BTC: $76,805 (-0.02%) — Recovered the sweep; the bounce still lacks participation.
ETH: $2,259 (+0.25%) — Normal participation, unrepaired trend.
Fear & Greed: 26 (Fear) ← 37 — Sentiment skipped nervous and ordered the full anxiety platter.
Flow Signal: $398.6M ETF outflow — IBIT supplied $405.3M of the exit.
MARKET MAP
BTC — 4H Thin Recovery Below Trend
BTC swept $76,400, recovered $76,500, and failed to turn $77,000 into support.
BTC is digesting the breakdown. The latest completed 4H candle carried just 0.43x average volume, with price below the full completed-4H EMA stack.
Daily Tape: -0.02% (O: $76,817 | H: $77,301 | L: $76,400 | C: $76,805)
Support: $76,500 — Held ✓ — swept intraday, then recovered.
Base: $76,000 — Holding — deeper defense stayed out of play.
Resistance: $77,000 — Broke ✗ — traded above, then failed to hold.
Psych Level: $77,500 — Not Tested — meaningful repair remains overhead.
Bias: Bearish
The sweep moved support from $76,750 to $76,500; acceptance above the repair band changes the tone.
ETH — 4H Stabilization Without Repair
ETH recovered $2,250 with normal participation but stayed beneath the first trend-repair band.
ETH's stabilization has more substance: completed-4H volume was 1.01x average, but price remains below the full EMA stack. Better ingredients, same unfinished dish.
Daily Tape: +0.25% (O: $2,253 | H: $2,264 | L: $2,241 | C: $2,259)
Support: $2,250 — Held ✓ — swept to $2,241, then recovered.
Base: $2,200 — Holding — next major downside floor remained untouched.
Resistance: $2,280 — Not Tested — broken support becomes the first recovery barrier.
Psych Level: $2,300 — Not Tested — stronger repair waits near the 4H EMA50.
Bias: Bearish
Losing old $2,280 support reset defense to $2,250; reclaiming the repair band improves the structure.
CHEF'S CHOICE
IBIT lost $405.3M, while a $6.7M FBTC inflow softened the group total to $398.6M in net outflows. The market ordered institutional demand and got the return receipt instead.
Steady ETF demand supports the structural-floor thesis. One session doesn't satisfy the standing invalidation of more than $1B in weekly outflows for three straight weeks, but the signal is moving the wrong way.
BTC's recovery came on thin participation; ETH's was normal, yet neither reclaimed a tracked 4H trend filter. That's bounce potential without trend repair—reheated leftovers posing as a tasting menu.
Watch whether ETF demand stabilizes and whether the tape absorbs JOLTS at 10:00 a.m. ET. The floor thesis needs receipts.
COOKING LESSON
Big money rarely leaves all at once. One ugly day is noise. Several ugly weeks—and Bitcoin’s floor gets shaky.
QUICK BITES
REGULATORY — Crypto.com's Hong Kong transition | Consumer-app service ends Feb. 1, 2027 while institutional exchange approval remains in progress. Retail access shrinks; the licensing lane stays open.
ALT SIGNAL — Solana routing has a price | A September study found wider matched non-aggregator spreads at five of six sampled proprietary pools. Route quality matters; the button you click can quietly change the bill.
CREDIT — Banks tightened the smaller taps | SLOOS showed tighter standards for small-firm C&I, every surveyed CRE category, and queried nonbank lending. Selective credit shortens risk appetite's leash.
MACRO KITCHEN
Brent cooled to $106.35 from $110.30, but triple-digit oil keeps inflation sensitivity in the room. Add a 4.894% 10-year yield, and speculative assets are eating with surge pricing.
DXY at 101.696 offers some relief. Today's JOLTS print can reshape rates before payrolls Friday; watch whether crypto participation improves.
Oil — 1D Triple-Digit Pressure Cools, Not Clears
Brent at $106.35 keeps the inflation channel relevant even after easing from the prior snapshot.
THE RECIPE
WHAT'S COOKING
The institutional-floor thesis is under pressure while both majors remain below their 4H trend stacks. Bias stays bearish, but reclaimed support leaves room for a provisional bounce.
KEY INGREDIENT
Broader participation and acceptance above both repair bands improve the read. Renewed ETF demand strengthens the case; another flow break makes the floor feel like a trapdoor.
Bias: Bearish — demand weakened while trend repair remains incomplete.
Probability: Bull 15% / Base 43% / Trap 42%
PREPARATION
Market Conviction: Medium-high — flow deterioration and trend position align, but immediate support recovered.
Upside Path: Better participation plus acceptance through both 4H repair bands.
Invalidation: Sustained trade below BTC $76,500 or ETH $2,250 reopens deeper floors.
Next Catalyst: September JOLTS today at 10:00 a.m. ET.
