BTC Slipped. Now The Bounce Needs Proof | Daily Dose

BTC lost last night's $78K plate, and this morning looks like reheated leftovers.
Brent is near $96 and DXY is at 99.748, so the macro kitchen never really cooled off. BTC is at $77,623, above the new $76,100 floor but still below the old $78K shelf it lost overnight. ETH is at $2,418 after holding $2,400, yet $2,425 is now overhead. Add a -$237M BTC ETF flow print, and the job gets simple: this is reclaim work, not breakfast euphoria.
TODAY'S MENU
BTC: $77,623 (+0.24%) — Under last night's broken shelf.
ETH: $2,418 (-0.03%) — Held the lower plate, but $2,425 is overhead.
Fear & Greed: 63 (Greed) — Risk appetite still looks warmer than price.
Macro Watch: Brent near $96 — Oil is still the burner setting the temp.
Flow Signal: BTC ETFs -$237M — Demand showed up wearing a rain cloud.
TODAY'S JOB
Treat the bounce like a test, not a trophy.
LEVELS AT A GLANCE
BTC 4H — $78,000 Broke, $76,100 Holds The Line
BTC Daily Tape: +0.24% (O $77,439 | H $77,778 | L $76,738 | C $77,623)
Support: $76,100 | Resistance: $78,000 | Bias:Bearish / defensive repair
ETH 4H — $2,400 Held, $2,425 Flipped Overhead
ETH Daily Tape: -0.03% (O $2,419 | H $2,425 | L $2,387 | C $2,418)
Support: $2,400 | Resistance: $2,425 | Bias: Bearish / defensive repair
CHEF'S CHOICE
This is failed-support memory, not fresh trend strength. Yesterday's $78K support broke, and today's support job moved down to $76,100. ETH is reading from the same script: $2,425 used to be support, now $2,400 is the plate doing the work.
The participation read keeps this from turning into a hero story too early. BTC is green only by +0.24% on the active tape, ETH is flat, and 1H RSI sits at 48.41 / 43.42 / 40.72 for BTC, ETH, and SOL. There is some appetite, but not real breakout appetite.
Flows are the annoying contradiction on the menu. Spot bitcoin ETFs printed -$237M, while spot ether ETFs managed only a small inflow. That does not ruin the bigger cycle thesis, but it definitely does not help when oil is already leaning on risk appetite.
BTC is still above $76,100 and ETH is above $2,400, but until buyers reclaim what they lost, this is still leftovers.
COOKING LESSON
ETF flows tell you who is shopping, not whether price is ready to sprint that same day.
A strong flow print can help build a floor over time, and a weak one can sour the mood, but neither one overrides the chart by itself. Think of flows as ingredients.Price action is the finished plate.
QUICK BITE
MACRO — Oil is still running the room | Brent near $96 and DXY at 99.748 keep upside acceptance picky.
INSTITUTIONAL — ETF flows were no help | Bitcoin ETFs printed -$237M while ether ETFs added only a small inflow.
ALT SIGNAL — SOL is still the weak side dish | $100 broke and $98 is the next line that matters.
THE TAKE
The market stopped looking sick, but it has not started looking strong.IfBTC gets $78,000 back and ETH gets through $2,425, the tone improves fast. Until then, this still feels like a cautious reheat.
